A Reminder We All Need

We never give ourselves enough credit. I’m guilty of this every day. We tell ourselves or we let the enemy convince us that we aren’t worthy of love, that we aren’t capable of love, or that we don’t have anything worthwhile to give to the world. This simply isn’t true. You are worth far more than you can possibly imagine. Shut the voices down and turn to your creator. You are a valuable treasure in his sight. The opinions of men mean nothing next to the truths of God. We’ve been hurt, burned, scorned, abandoned, and let down by those who we thought loved us or by the world, but our God will never do any of those things, because we are valuable and loved. He left the comfort of heaven to come down and save us so that we could spend eternity with him. That means you’re very important.

I came across a list of verses showing what you are and what you have when you’re saved. This is such a huge encouragement to me and I hope it will be to you. I went and looked up all these verses and came away praising God for everything he’s done for me.

Don’t ever fall into the trap of thinking you’re worthless or unimportant. You are worth so much more.

I love this list! I'm in the process of copying them all onto note cards. I think it originated from Neil T. Anderson, but I've got it on a card from Lighthouse Ministry International, a spiritual warfare ministry in the Twin Cities (they got permission to reprint it).
One time when I was getting attacked real bad with negative thoughts and couldn't even fight back, I read the summary for each verse out loud, and by the end of the list, I had enough freedom to fight back and win that battle!
    Truth is so powerful. 🙂
